Crib BeddingCrib bedding can be found in many different styles and it is very easy to get carried away into purchasing what may not be right for your baby’s needs. Here are some suggestions that will hopefully guide you in the right direction as far as choosing the right crib bedding is concerned. Essential Crib BeddingThe mattress should be the exact size of the crib or else the baby can get hurt if there are gaps at the sides. The mattress must also have a plastic cover as there will be many times when it will get wet and you will be happy to just have to wipe it dry rather then have to wash and dry it. The next requirement for the crib bedding is the fitted sheet to go over the mattress as the baby will be moving around and the sheets may move with him or her. Therefore a fitted sheet will be able to stay in place. The sheets need to be 100 per cent hypo-allergenic as baby skin is very sensitive and even if you don’t think your baby has any allergies, he or she may develop some when dealing with different types of crib bedding. Comforters are the next thing that you will require for your crib bedding and they too need to be made of hypo-allergenic materials as well as the right size to fit the crib but not too large so that your baby can get entangled and/or suffocated if it covers his or her face when you are not around. Children under twelve months should not have comforters as it is a SIDS risk. Helpful TipDon’t over crowd your baby’s crib with crib bedding that he or she does not use or require right away as that can come in his or her way and cause unwanted accidents. Wash the beddings as often as possible in order to keep your baby healthy and happy at all times.
