Girls BeddingGirls bedding should be fun and attractive and adds the spark to any girl’s room. When looking for girl’s bedding, it is a good idea to look for something that will last for many years, rather than a girls’ bedding ensemble which is faddish and will not keep your daughter’s interests. Classic girls’ bedding, such as lace, gingham and quilted designs are great for girls of almost any age, in addition to light pinks, greys, violets and blues. However, your daughter may prefer a bedspread with a favorite Disney character on the top or a room designed around a certain film or theme. Before investing in theme-centered girls’ bedding, it is a good idea to make sure that the ensemble is not something that your daughter will grow tired of within a year. A canopy is a great addition to girls’ bedding, and can be quite versatile to adjust for any age. A classic canopy bed has removable bedposts and notches used to attach the canopy, which may be made of a white or pink fabric with wide lace hanging down the side of the bed. However, there are many different kinds of canopies for girls’ bedding. Your daughter might prefer elegant drapes of fabric down each side of the bed for privacy and beauty. Chintz, velvet or any type of high-quality fabric can work well. If your girl’s bedding does not include a canopy bed, you can use curtain rods on each side of the bed for draping fabric, or you can fasten hooks into the ceiling and drape fabric from there. Lots of pillows are a fun addition to girls’ bedding, and you can create a pillow collection in many shapes and sizes. Golden heart-shaped pillows or sparkly diamond pillows can be fun to make. For a girl who loves crafts, pillow making can be a great way to have fun and decorate her bedroom. Quilts also add country charm to girl’s bedding, and for the girl who loves quilts, a chest at the foot of the bed to store blankets and quilts also adds a classic touch to a girl’s room.
