Youth BedHave you finally decided that it’s time to move your child out of their crib and onto the next level? If so, then a youth bed might be just what you’re looking for. They are not only the right size for a toddler or young child, but they also come in a wide variety of designs that will almost guarantee that you’ll find just what you’re looking for. Depending on what it is you’re expecting from your new investment, there are two basic styles to choose from. The first is a toddler bed which can be great for a while, but will have to be replaced as the child grows, and the other is a twin bed, which is also a wise choice, but can be a big jump right out of a crib. So, while either of these can make a great youth bed, there’s a few things to consider before you decide which one’s right for you. Toddler beds have become incredibly popular over that past couple years, which has made them incredibly easy to find and at very reasonable prices. Starting in the neighborhood of about 40 dollars, you can have your pick of today’s most fashionable characters on the cheaper plastic models. This can be great if your child demands that everything they come in contact with have Dora the Explorer or Spiderman’s face on it, however, this style of youth bed can also be found in sturdier wood or metal designs that will not only last longer, but will save you from having to worry about who your child’s idol is this week. The other style of youth bed you should consider is commonly referred to as a twin bed. Most people are familiar with the basics of a twin bed, but thanks to the overwhelming demand, there have been a number of new and innovative designs put on the market in recent years. You can find everything from a traditional slat poster or sleigh style bed, to a whimsical, colorful masterpiece that your child is sure to love. Loft beds, bunk beds, and captain’s beds are just a few of the other styles you can choose from. Many of them offer such things as: trundles for your overnight guests, extra storage space for your never-ending supply of clothes and toys, or guard rails to prevent children from falling off during the night. It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for a something to match your already existing décor, or one that can be a jumping off point for an entire over-haul, there’s something out there that’s perfect for you. Keep in mind that if an over-haul is your plan that these beds are often just one of the pieces offered in a youth bedroom collection. This can save you countless hours of searching for matching pieces elsewhere. A youth bed can be a fantastic way to help your little one make a smooth transition from his or her crib to a big-kid bed of their very own.
