Bed Sets

If you are in the market for bed sets, you should take into consideration how you sleep. What is your sleeping position? Do you sleep on your side, stomach or back? While it is true that people will have more than one position they sleep in, many people generally have a preference.

People that sleep on their back should look for bed sets that will fill in the gaps between the back and the mattress. People that sleep on their stomachs should look for bed sets that are fairly firm. This will prevent the spine from being distorted during sleep. Side sleepers should look for bed sets that will reduce pressure points.

Once you have purchased your ideal bed sets you should do your part to keep it in good condition. You should turn your mattress regularly. You should check the paperwork that comes with your bed sets to see if the manufacturer has any recommendations on turning your mattress. If none are stated, you should turn your mattress over at least every six months. You should rotate it (put the top at the bottom and vice versa) every three months.

Another thing you can do to extend the life of your bed sets is to try to avoid sitting on the sides of them in the same spot. If you like to sit on your bed while getting dressed, try to sit in a different spot each morning. Even moving up and down a foot or two can greatly extend the life of your mattress. If you have purchased quality bed sets you can expect your mattress to last up to ten years. If you have purchased a high end premium mattress it can last up to twelve years.
