Tanning Bed

The tanning bed enables one to tan indoors and helps produce a fine tan for the skin with the help of ultraviolet light in the same way that is achieved by sitting out in the sun. However, a difference one may want to know is that out in the sun, there is no way that one can control the amount of ultraviolet light one is exposed to. On the other hand, the indoor tanning bed allows the user to get the exact quantity of ultraviolet light one requires.

The tanning bed allows the user to gradually increase the exposure time and ensures that there is no sunburn that can cause harm to the skin. The tanning bed imitates the sun and the sun emits three types of ultraviolet rays that cause a person to get a tan. The shortest of these is the UV-C that is also very harmful while the UV-A has a very long wavelength and is what gives a person a tan. Tanning beds use the best ratio of UV-B and UV-A light and thus are able to provide the user with optimum tanning light that reduces the risk of being overexposed.

Mostly, one requires spending a lot of time out in the sun before one gets tanned and so one may opt for using a tanning bed that makes it easier to get the desired color and one can start with short exposure times and gradually increase the time. However, one should note that if one does not tan under the sun, a tanning bed would also not tan a person since they emit the same tanning rays as of the sun’s rays.

Tanning regularly will help build a good tan and so, one should not let too much time go between tanning sessions or the tan will fade away. Tanning with a tanning bed once a day is a good idea though it may be better to wait a couple of days in between sessions to allow the tan to get fully developed between sessions.
