Trundle Bed

If your child has a small bedroom, or if your children are forced to share a bedroom, you should consider purchasing a trundle bed. A trundle bed is the answer to many parent’s prayers. Let’s face it, a children’s room should be a place for them to play and dream. Having a bed take up the entire room’s free space can make a child not want to play and hang out in his or her room. This is where the trundle bed steps in and saves the day.

A trundle bed is simply a bed that has a partner. This other bed is slightly smaller than the original bed. This smaller bed is on wheel and it can be pushed up beneath the top twin bed and stored. This allows your child to have two separate beds in his or her room, without taking up their floor space during the day. If your children have to share their rooms, or if your child has regular guests over to spend all night, the trundle bed is the way to go.

The trundle bed is a space saver. Many of you have heard of the Murphy bed and how it has come to the rescue of adults who need to save their space. Well, the trundle bed does much the same. Your child can have a twin bed in his or her room, and the trundle bed will slide underneath the twin.

Some trundle beds can be raised up to be the same height as the twin, or they may stay at floor level, much like a step ladder. Trundle beds are fast becoming the choice of many parents over a bunk bed. If your child needs the extra space in his or her room for a guest, you should investigate a trundle bed. It may just be the answer you are looking for.
