Wall Beds

Wall beds are a fun and interesting idea, but they also provide practical uses. Some of these uses are obvious, and some are specific to the style and type of wall bed that you may choose. Manufacturers of wall beds have really come a long way in their designs, and have come up with many new and unique styles, which offer many new and unique benefits.

Wall beds are beds that fold up against your wall until you need it, like when you are ready to sleep, at which time you fold it down to have it rest on your floor. When you are done sleeping you can fold it right back up against your wall. So, the first benefit that may come to mind when you think of a wall bed would be saving space in your room and/or home. This is especially beneficial when you have very little space to work with. For people who live in apartments, especially studio apartments, you may find wall beds to be very convenient. Or maybe you just have a very small bedroom, and could really use the extra space. Maybe you are just the type of person who likes as much space as possible. For someone who lives in a studio apartment, a wall bed makes it possible to have a functioning living room by day and bedroom by night.

The different types of wall beds they produce these days offer all types of functions. There are the smaller wall beds that are stored upright on their side, and when folded down, a storage shelf, or cabinet folds down with them. There are also the folding beds that fold into a large cabinet. When these are in the upright position, it simply looks like you have an attractive and usually large cabinet against your wall. If you don’t tell your friends, they would never know there was just a bed inside of it. There are also wall beds that are a bed on one side, and a bookcase on the other side. On the side with the bookcase, there is also a table that folds down, and the whole contraption rotates making it very easy to get the either side of it. This new and unique design is very multi-functional.

Another reason someone may benefit from having a wall bed, is for when they have guests at the house. You could place one in a room that is used for other activities, like your computer room, or maybe you just have an extra bedroom, and keep it up until you have a guest sleeping over. You could keep it as a guest bed wherever you may have space in the house, and while you don’t have guests, you have that space for whatever else you might need it for. Plus, you can really wow your family and friends when you fold down your wall bed, especially if it’s disguised by a cabinet, or bookcase and table. These wall beds are great for your home and for any vacation home you might have where you need extra places for people to sleep.
