Foam MattressThe concept of having a foam mattress has become more and more common these days, but how do you know that the mattress you choose will be high quality among the maze of so many? The first thing to consider is the quality of the foam itself. Don’t be afraid to ask salespeople various questions such as who makes the foam, what the different densities are among each layer, and how long the company has been using that particular type or grade of foam. If they don’t know, the odds are the foam is not superior. Secondly, get some customer statistics. You can do this by either asking the people at the store what their return rate is like (in other words, how often do people return the mattress), and what people think of them, or you can do your own research and find out what customers are saying on their own. Word of mouth is often the best way to gauge a foam mattress. Even if you choose a foam mattress you feel will be best for you, it’s still important to find out what the manufacturer’s return policy is. Most companies will allow you to use the mattress for at least thirty (sometimes ninety) days and if you decided you don’t like it within that time frame, you can return it with no questions asked. It’s always good to know what these policies are in the event you’re unhappy with it once you take it home and sleep on it for a while. Of course, a little testing in the store is never a bad idea either. See how the mattress does on softness, adjusting to your body, and overall comfort. If you lie there for about 5 minutes and feel your back hurting, it’s likely you won’t want to buy this mattress, while another one may make you feel sleepy as soon as you lie down. Doing the proper research and finding out about materials, customer opinions return policy and overall feel will help you to find the foam mattress that’s right for you.
