King Size MattressDid you know that if you get the suggested 8 hours of sleep each night, you might spend as much as a third of your life in bed? For this reason alone, you should make all your mattress purchases with care. Getting the right mattress can make sure you sleep better and night and feel more rested when you awake. Buying a mattress is also often a big purchase, as some can cost as much as a thousand dollars or more. Before you go mattress shopping, you should consider what size mattress you need. If you are sleeping alone, you may be comfortable enough on a single (also known as a twin) bed mattress. At the most, you will probably need a double (sometimes known as a full) mattress. If you are sharing a bed with someone, you may be able to sleep comfortably on a double bed mattress, but a queen or king size mattress can provide you with more room. A queen size mattress is 60 x 80 inches and a king size mattress is 76 x 80 inches. If you need something longer, you may want to consider a California king size mattress. It is four inches longer, but also four inches more narrow that the standard king size mattress. Some of the decision may fall on how big your bedroom is. If you have a smaller bedroom, you will probably want to go with a single or double bed and mattress. If you have a large enough bedroom, you may want to consider a queen or king size mattress and bed. When you decide what size mattress and bed you need, you can purchase it at most local furniture stores or, some cities have stores that specialize in selling mattresses. You may want to check to see what type of warranty the mattress comes with as well when you consider purchasing it.
